Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
 
THANK YOU:
We want to thank our customers for their continued patronage during this difficult time. We are a small business, and we truly appreciate all the support we have received from our regular and new customers.
 
Shipping: 
At the height of the pandemic, many USPS packages were delayed an excessive amount of time, so we started shipping everything by UPS or USPS Priority Mail. However, USPS has improved significantly over the past few weeks, so we will resume sending shipments by USPS First Class Mail, along with UPS and USPS Priority Mail when necessary. As such, we have lowered our flat rate shipping fee to adjust for these lower costs.
 
Reminder - Please disinfect all packages:
If you order an item(s) from us, we ask that you please disinfect all surfaces/packaging upon receipt. Experts at the New England Journal of Medicine state that the COVID-19 virus can survive on cardboard up to 24 hours, and on plastics for up to 3 days. Your delivery driver will be the last one who touches your package prior to your receipt, and since symptoms of the virus can take several days before appearing, it is best to be safe and disinfect all surfaces on ANY package you receive, and then wash you hands with soap and water, prior to opening and using items.
 
Current inventory:
We carry our own inventory of many items, and are keeping stock levels of those items current online. We also drop ship many other items that are shown as available on our website from various suppliers. Currently, all of our suppliers are open and appear to be operating as normal. 
 
Typewriter inventory:
Typewriters are not currently being produced as manufacturers facilities in other countries have shut down. The only typewriter currently available is the Nakajima WPT-150. Typewriter inventory posted online is accurate and we do not foresee getting any new inventory in the near future. Other retailers are experiencing the same issue, so if you see a typewriter advertised online, please be sure to make sure it is NEW and not REFURBISHED, and call the retailer to verify their inventory before placing your order.
 
Credit Card Authorization vs. Charge: 
We do NOT charge your credit card when you place an order, rather, we place an authorization hold only. Once we verify your order can be shipped from our facility and/or from one of our trusted suppliers, we proceed to charge your payment method for the amount of your order and begin the processing of your shipment. In the event that your item(s) cannot be shipped, we will contact you at the email/phone number you provide to us on your order to discuss alternatives, such as a compatible item or releasing the authorization hold (thus never charging your order.) Please make sure to check your emails after you place your order and reply to any inquiries, and to check and reply to any voice mails we may leave you. If we cannot reach you within 24 hours, we will automatically release the authorization and cancel your order.
 
Storefront:
Our storefront is closed indefinitely. Orders can be placed online only. No local will-call nor local delivery is available. We apologize for this inconvenience.
 
No Return/Exchange Policy has not changed: 
We have had inquiries regarding our No Return/No Exchange policy. Those policies have been in effect since 2005 and have not changed due to the COVID-19 situation. We ask that you please respect our policies, and if you are uncertain about whether or not the item you are considering purchasing will work in your machine, to please buy it elsewhere to help avoid potential frustrations. Since we purchase each item we sell and are unable to return it to our suppliers, and also since we do not sell any used or open-box items, we will continue to not accept returns nor provide exchanges. Thank you for your understanding.
